About

A psychophysiological stress profile is an assessment technique used to identify which areas of a client's physiology need attention and how. Respiration, heart rate, skin conductance and hand temperature are measured in a 20-minute test. The test begins with a baseline measurement, followed by alternating mental stressors and recovery periods. A psychophysiological stress profile shows what happens in the body in response to stress and provides insight into an athlete's ability to relax and recover from stress. The stress profile shows the cause of the problems more clearly so that training can be better adapted to the specific situation of the athlete. For him, this means knowing your physiology, which helps promote awareness and internal self-regulation.
